    you know you drive a mk1 when you get wet.... you dont even need the convertible.

    you know your driving a mk1 when u deliberately drop it back to second in the tunnel and mash the loud pedal to the floor just to hear that engine roar over and over again.

    You know your driving a mk1 when you realise that you may have to actually slow down before the end of the tunnel to avoid the radar but your pedal is still on the floor from that last big stop 5 minutes ago.

    You know your driving a mk1 when all the bogans mates in his v8ss laugh at him when he got smashed by a VOLKSEE

    You know you love driving a mk1 when you keep 6 derelict mk1's under cover at the work shop as fixer uppers and refuse to part with them for any price
