When you drive the modern work car and can't work out how to adjust the mirrors (and then your passenger asks 'why is the back window down?' cos all the buttons are confusing and you've opened all of the windows instead of moving the mirrors). Gotta love the simplicity of old cars.

...when you have to stop the car and read the manual to work out how to use the heater controls to demist the front windscreen and it still doesn't work properly!

when you drive a mates car, then jump back in your Mk1 and smile from ear to ear, then proceed to hit the wipers on instead of the indicator, cause your damn mates car is wrong way around....!
