You use the 'unreliable' Mk1 to pick up parts for the much more 'reliable' Mk4...

You know you drive a Mk1 when it becomes as unreliable as it should be...

Broke the steering rack mount today, but she still got me home...
Very slowly, and scarily though... 90+ degrees of nothing, and then the steering works...

My old cabby had that issue when I first bought it. Bit tricky to fix, but that's mainly because of the lack of room under there.
    Common issue apparently.

You know you drive a Mk1 when you go into a corner and you feel the seat lift in the rails.

You know you drive a Mk1 when you don't, but instead have it pulled apart wishing it was drive-able.

You know you drive a Mk1 GLD when the policewoman at the RBT tells you your car is rattling alot, and all you can say is that it hasn't warmed up yet!

You know you drive a Mk1 when you headlight lense falls out and smashes for no reason other than you haven't had to buy parts for a while...

You know you drive a MK1 when your car almost spontaneously combusts due to dodgy wiring.
