Looks like it has a lot of potential. We are getting a few W.A. people on here now. You might have to organise a get together? Good to see you on the forum!! Cheers, Andrew

Looks good to me. What have you got planned for it? And what is that front wheel off? I've never seen one like that before....

hey guys thanks for the comments and sorry for the lateness of my reply...

the car is now stripped and over the past couple of year i have just been buying parts and storing them..

im living in vienna now and have been for 9 months, so havent seen my bucket for a while now...

but the plan as always.. in basic, sorry i so tired and will give more details if requested.

half cage in the back - not yet welded in
total rust and dent removal replacement with oem panels where necessary or possible...
a 1.8t i have procured a BAM code motor and a 5speed 02 (from aeb?) over here which needs a rebuild (headgasket) and i will probably then ship it home soon. (with all the ancillories ofcourse)
liquid to air charge cooling and ported head
four piston boxster calipers and brembo 5x112 discs on all fours. (abs)
keeping the trailing arm system in the rear but will use KW variant 3 coilovers all round.
all new bushings seals glass etc..
16x8 mesh style wheels on a 5x112 pcd.
custom hubs with heavy duty bearings and fresh control arms, knuckles splines, etc
stripped out interior just the stock dash with some nice quilted leather.

i want a simple light and classic look all rolled into one..

at the moment ill be content with the stock 1.8t but ill probably chip it and leave it at that, anywhere around 200kw will make me happy..
and yes i will use semi slicks.

brackie - my parents house in claremont

ausmk1 - eat my ass with a spoon the golf owns the pug

ausgolfer - wheels are from an 80s honda prelude or something

most of this i will do my self and i have most of the parts i need to start, i just need to save and come back so i can pay for all the things i cant do... i.e sewing leather and painting.

was originally hoping to have it done some time mid next year but it wont be so. sometimes your life can just turn around, and here i am in austria.

yeah if you guys want to know more please just ask
