    Yeah true words.
People would rather buy a 200 *****box and plough time and money into it than buy one for $2000 that has had $5000 spent on it

I havent seen a 2 door Mk1 for about a year and I have been offered 4 in the last week and a couple of 4 doors

Look a $500 mk1 that needs $5K spending on it to bring it up to GTI spec is not a bargain...

nicks farm is a heaven for all golf owners, and what the photo dont show is all he aircooled babies hmmmm he is a good guy helped me out a tonne of times and yes he is a busy man, and keen on departing with parts, might take a while for him to get them off the car but hey whats time for a hard to get stuff, like wanting a certain door off one will mean rain will get in and attack the rest of the shell he thinks this way so he does respect all vw's, never had any prob with him. kudos

    daaamn.
those pics are the worst thing ive seen in quite a while.
    thats shocking.
i cant beleive people would actually sit by n let that sort of thing happen to mk1s.
if i didnt buy the one i got, i would have saved one of those poor babies

    much sadness.
hopefully some good souls out there will hear the call!
