    Wheels for MK1

Can anyone give me a yes or no to..

Do Mazda MX5 wheels fit on a Mk1?

They are 4x100 but dont know if they will need spacers,
Is the centre bore the same?
    Is the offset etc correct?

    Thanks in advance.

This should give you some idea, you'll need spacer definitely

hey dude, ive fitted TRMotorsport C1M 15x7 wheels with ET30 offset on my MK2. they are synonomous with mx5's.

the centre bore needs to be machined out to 57.1mm, otherwise MX5 wheels will fit... Boring cost me about $150 for 4 wheels.

I also needed 5mm spacers to clear my coilover struts...

This is assuming that Mk1's and Mk2's are similar.

    good luck

    hi rob,
If your car is on coilovers you'll have to have slightly less offset to clear the strut/spring that if you're on a standard shock/spring / cupkit combo.

For example, mk 3 steel wheels, 14x6 et45 with a 185/60/14 tyre will fit comfortably on a mk 1 with traditional spring/shock combo, however with coilovers it will need 8-10mm spacer to clear the coilover.

    hope this helps
