Just be careful when going to longer wheel bolts

Too long & they can poke through into the rear drum & tear up the rear brake shoe assembly's.

I've had this happen to me before.

Fronts will be fine with longer bolts

BMW wheel bolts are a good size with only a fraction shaved off the ends.
They also come with a crazy hard black coating & look good too.

BMW and AUDI bolts can be found in good lengths. Pretty cheap at the self serve wreckers too.

i managed to order longer wheel nuts through my work (from NICE products) There are two different types of wheel studs (as far as i know) and the ones that i got are the same length as the longer ones that come stock on a golf. i can probably dig up a part number.
