What type of Weber for my 1.6?

    G'day,

I want to change my weber on my 1.6L. Currently on the car i have a renault 12 weber. As the renault 12 is a 1.4L i put bigger jets in the weber, because the the Golf was gasping for fuel. With the bigger jets in it it ran perfectly and it flew god did it fly ....but it drank...alot

But now with the petrol prices so high i put the original jets back in and now it gasping for fuel again.

My question is what type of weber should i go for. I have been thinking of a 2L cortina weber. My sister has one on her 1.8L Gti engine and it goes fine. Good on petrol too. Renault 16 would be a good choice but hard to come by.

What other webers out there are a good choice?

    Cheers
