What should I do with an unwanted MK1 GL?

Having got the White Mk1 as reliable as I can I'm considering what to do with my other Golf.

It doesn't really have much going for it.

    1600 ex-GLD 4 Door - Mars Red

    Mechanicals are pretty much shot.
    Motor is beyond any hope.
    Body is rusty
    No Heater
    Electrical faults when it rains.

    Good bits
    14" x 6" alloys with nearly new, G'Grids
    Progressive Weber
    GTI grill
Freshly reco'd head less than 100km.
    Diesel fuel tank and lines.
    Cool sports steering wheel
    Radiator OK.

Even Good MK1 aren't selling so what's this thing worth? and what's the right thing to do with it? It gets me to the station every day if I charge the battery every second day and it overheats in 4 minutes (REally really stuffed bottom end).

    Euthanasia and organ donation?
or Sell it for a few 100 if I'm lucky?

    Thoughts, comments wisdom anyone?

    Pete

mate i think you should wreck the good bits to keep the nice mk1's on the road and you will get more $$ this way but thats not the point... somethings must die so that others may live

Full new restructure, new engine , new everything. Give it to West Coast Customs (pimp my ride) and they will redo the car for you lol.

You might be able to sell it for parts though abit more than actually selling it as a whole.
