You could start with looking at the one Matt (Golf Loon) is selling on e-bay!

I've got a regular GTI box on a 16v and the longer 5th of the 8v is a favoured by those in the know. All the other ratios are the same.

I've just chucked this engine in my Mk1 and am looking at a different cam after I fit extractors+exhaust.

The G Grind sounds like what I'm after (power increase but drivable), is it a 268 deg hydraulic cam?
