Thread: What did you fix/replace on your Mk1 today?

    I think I'm going to be a regular to these pages, so many little things to fix. Today was the passengers outside door handle. The left side of the handle has a tongue that fits inside the bodywork and stops the handle flexing away from the body when you pull it. On mine the tongue had snapped off so I fitted a small bolt through the left side of the handle to secure it to the door frame. I love these old cars where it only takes 5 min to remove the door trim and so easy to get to everything inside the door.

    Try that on your 5 year old car.

    Got the clock working again, happy about that.

    Made the interior light work! ****ing stoked about that!!!!!

    On that note, I don't have an interior light at all and think that I will put some low wattage LED in the car through the footwell for door open lighting.

    Also switched to chromes, just because I can. (fairly sure I don't like them though)

    Fitted the universal linkage kit for the weber.
