Replaced the fan belt only to find the mounting bracket for the alternator is out of wack...now to find a new bracket.
That's not great news. Sounds like it I'd guess that you have a loose nut on the linkage?
I went to replace some fuel line and found out I bought the wrong diameter hose do now the car is stranded until tomorrow.

had to re-attach the accel. cable to the rubber grommit on the pedal (twice) whilst on the Club run.....whilst I've recently fitted a new grommit and accel.cable, is there any secret to keeping these buggers together and not separating ??

Fixed the reverse problem. There is a mount half way along the rod that runs next to the zorst and the two bolts that hold it together had both fallen out. All fixed now. I love my MK1....most of the time

Had a service and a relay fitted on the starter motor so I don't get that "no start when hot" little episodes anymore - well I hope so anyway
Also heard from my contact in the US that the little rubber seals, that go around my door handles, are on their way
