You mean you are taking those rims off to give to me Jarred? that's nice of you to clean them first

Guess you could try some carpet cleaner, if you don't have a steam cleaner hang it up on the clothes line and blast it with the hose maybe.

Will be replacing in the next few weeks

After I pick up my 81 Caddy I will be replacing the engine (current engine is in the bed in back with a bad crank bearing). Not sure if I want to replace it with another 8v (one is available locally rebuilt with mild cam and a 4k tranny) or a 1.8L 16V also available locally for about the same price $125us? other than that I have to fix one hole in the floor and I am ready to roll. Picking it up this Tuesday late arvo.

hopefully I don't find any evidence of any of these !!!!!

on friday afternoon, i washed the mk1 for the first time since the dust storms. then i polished some of the rusy spots on the exterior (on the surface) and quick waxed the car so the water actually comes off.

then i adjusted the igniton timing, washed the engine bay, and gave the carb a final tune before the dyno day on sat

for all those mk1'ers out there that didnt see it in the meet section -

    yes, thats at the wheels

yes - RV with g-grind and dellorto DHLA 40, electronic ignition, foam sock air filters (terrible), and homemade exhaust. no heat shield on exhaust manifold either.

i think i'm gonna get a TT cam (272) and see how that goes.
