    1. Adjusted the rear drums and handbrake.
    2. Realigned the washer switch on the column so it would work properly again.

    Quiet weekend

cool, am keen to do some suspension work on my cabrio. I'm dreaming of a Golf Workshop Christmas with new bearings brake pads, discs, shoes, reprofiled drums, suspension and maybe some tyres once all the dirty work is done!

yeh Preeny's old engine needs AT LEAST a DGAV Weber.

preferrably a 45 DCOE, or bigger!

If your running a stock carb on that donk your choking the life out of it!

Yea, pretty much. Just so you know, we're not having a go at you or anything, just trying to help you get the best out of your new engine!

This is from Preeny's 16V thread. (yes it's about his old engine that you've got now)

    -Head is ported and polished.

    -44 IDF Weber carburettor.
-modified, ported and port matched inlet manifold to suit weber.
-Custom tuned length 4 into 1 extractors and a 2.5 inch exhaust.
    -Lightened flywheel.
