Matt Black is the only choice. Anything looks good in Matt Black, even commonwhores...uh....I mean falcadores....or something...
My car is silver and every bolt on panel is either bent or rusty. I have a complete set of dead straight, rust free panels for it that are faded red over original brown paint. My interior is blue and in good shape.
The question is WHAT COLOR do i paint the car????
Metallic is hard to get right in a backyard paint job
Red with a blue interior would suck
Brown, no thanks
White with a blue interior would also be a bit confronting each time i drive it
So i need a color that will go with the navy interior. Id love to stay with the metallic silver but have been put off by a panel beater friend due to the difficulty in obtaining a reasonable finish. He says go white as it covers imperfections well (but with blue trim!?!)
I hope this conveys my perpexed state of mind on this matter
Any suggestions?
Thanks

Thanks everyone for your suggestions. I have considered matt black but i would need a supercharger, sawn off shotgun and a post apocalyptic world to drive around in. As for pink, yes it goes with the blue interior but i dont have a shoe-chair to bolt on my roof and im not planning a trip to alice springs.
Im leaning heavily towards silver. A bonus is that i dont have to paint the door openings or the engine bay if i go silver.
Very exciting being back on the road! Cops love it too, as it looks a bit crooked from every angle

After putting in the blue(ish) Cordoba seats, my silver GLD with brown trim just doesn't look right. Ayden got me thinking with his door trims and carpets ideas and I'll go down that road to get the interior right. As for the exterior...well it needs a respray as '70s metallic paint was never designed to last for 30 years in Oz!!! The artist in my mrs has advised an aquamarine colour paint and I reckon it'll look good.
Sorry you restoration purists, but I decided after the roof scrape that I did with my tractor I would never get it back to original so now I'm out to have fun!
In summary, hiho, go for a blue or a near-blue colour. I like the colour of Ayden's GLD.
Got to be Lhasa Green....classic. and you don't often see em around in this country.
