What can i do to tidy window rubber?

hey guys, the rubber around my windows is good but pretty dirty and old and gross. is there anything i can do to revive them and get them looking nice and black?

Also, i'm getting some replacement bottom edge seals for my windows (window scrapers??) to replace the terrible old ones.. but, the old ones had that chrome surround thing around all windows.. which is completely shot.. and flakey and just brings the appearence of the car down a lot. can i rip out the routed plastic chrome trim and put the seals straight on?? let me know the options i have.. as keein this baby water tight is a must.. as it will be resprayed and the new interior will be going in before christmas (white leather, beige micro swede w/ diamond stiching in the centre panels!!) and it must be protected properly!!

and i am missing the left hand side lower chrome strip that runs beneith the doors.. where can i get something to do the job??

oh and i need side rubber trim for both sides.. or at least to paint them to look nice again.. tips??

    Cheers,

    sohj
