VW Warwick 2015 Record MK1 field

    Hi All,

As entries have just closed for VW Warwick 2015, it's exciting to see that 10 MK1 Golfs will be racing in the Watercooled Class, including a MK1 Caddy. The overall class number is 23 cars, so this will be a big weekend for the water pumpers.

    Cheers
    Craig

Sounds great! Will be there on Sunday for the show and shine and to see all the main drags. Is anyone keen to cruise down from the sunshine coast on Sunday Morning?

You have to take a million photos and post them.

    Plus several thousand videos. OK.

Lots of great pix. Must have been amazing to have been there.

What 16v are you running? Apart from the nitrous what else is done to the engine to get you doing 9.0's?

Nice lineup guys. What ever ended up happening to the Mk1 with the tube front end that was at Browns Plains Automotive a few years back?

Im still upset it was first time using the 75hp shot and did 9.0 at 75mph, i melted 2 plugs at half track (my own fault) and broke my seat at launch! the car on the 50hp shot best time of 9.2 at 79mph. the car is very aggressive with the nitrous find it very hard to control the launch. I only had a set of standard plugs to use so i didn't put the 75hp shot back in it but will do over Christmas and hit the 1/4mile.

its a 9A 2.0 16v nothing special, stainless steel head gasket, 50mm euro intake, vw motorsports k-jet, msd 6al ignition, 4 into 1 extractors into 2.5inch exhaust. 6 puck button clutch short ratio gti gearbox with LSD.

The vw warwick photo album has been updated with more pictures.
