    help 1976 vw golf

hi guys.i hope i'm in the right thread?
i'm new at this forum thing, but would love your advice. my dad was recently given a 1976 vw golf, 2 door convertible that needs some work. it was involved in a small engine fire that has affected the dash.any ideas on where to locate one, he thinks he could use the old one to remodel it, but has little knowledge of this car and what it should look like.i've been looking on the web but i'm not sure exactly what it is referred to as, engine size etc......sooooo many choices. i think it's a girl thing!
    links, pictures,parts contacts.....anything....help!

    Thumbs up

Welcome to the forum, Dubless. Send a PM to Golf Loon asking for parts ... if he hasn't got them, he'll know where to point you. Good to see another Q'lander on the forum ... hope it won't be too long before we see pics and see you at one of our GTGs.

    Cheers,

    Dave

No worries, Mate ... we've all got to start somewhere. My dub is my first and, quite frankly, without this site I'm sure I wouldn't have enjoyed my car (and meeting people) half as much as I've done.

    Cheers,

    Dave
