    Thumbs up Twin Webers :)

Any body have any idea on whether I would be able to run twin Weber 40's on my 1.6L 8V? I know (& speaking with a gentleman at my work who's an engineer & is fairly familiar with carbs) that some of the older 1.6L Fiats (?) ran dual 40s?
So i'm just interested in seeing what anyone else thinks about running dual 40s, or perhaps if I should run dual 38s?
    Thanks!

1300 to 2000 alfa Romeo twin cams used twin 40 dcoe webers and later 2ltmotors had dellortos. 40mm alfa carbs off a 1600 should suit as choked and jetted

    Totally possible, looks awesome too,

Might be better if you used a bigger engine (such as a later 1.8 or 2.0 from a MK3) as twin carbs are a bit of overkill on a 1600

Formula 3 1600 Golf motors run 48 mm Webers for 190 to 200 hp.

    Crazy motors those formula 3's

Im running twin 40 sidedraught webers on a 1.6 8v as we speak. They have tiny choke sizes in them though -28mm. Need to be bigger. Still, tuned right they run very smoothly, economically and are great fun the noise they make is addictive
