    A trip to Burnie....

Don't get off the farm much, but yesterday we went to look at floor coverings for our new room. Well...I really went to look at cars! I was rewarded by seeing some of the best preserved VW watercooleds you're likely to encounter. These were daily drivers, not show cars, parked outside shops and the like. A senational Mk1 ('76ish?) Golf swallowtail in immaculate order. Yellow, with BBs mags. A Synchro van with rear seats. Beautiful condition. An Audi Fox, pre-'75 in pale blue and gleaming. And others. You've got to hand it to Tassies as they look after their cars so well. I also saw an Audi Quattro. Lowered, red and mean-looking. Good on ya, Burnie!

'Burnie must have changed from the old days it was always full of rust buckets but the local industries have changed now and one only has to deal with the salt air from Bass Straight.
A good friend lives there and has a 9A 83 Mk1 in mars red complete with factory sunroof.koni coilovers,TSWs etc and a modded VR6, so they are about just hiding.Oh I'd recommend the site but he doesn't have a computer.

ps You must get out more
