it is a pain yes, what makes it worse is i got a KE55 corolla, was hoping to sell it as a rolling shell cause motor packed it in... got no takers after 8 weeks so i slapped together a motor, some new gaskets, headskim. new clutch. and the bastard runs perfect. been daily driving it for last 5 weeks with no problem.

Ahh well. ill sort it out soon enough. im guessing one of the cam or crank shaft marks are wrong. but i cant tell which.

its defintely at TDC on piston one, made sure by putting a pen in and watching for the highest point.

so it has to be cam, but going by what net says, and what the manual says. both valves on cylinder 1 should be closed, and cylinder 4 ones should just be about to open.

meh i dunno. mechanic time i think

    Quick one

If the Electric dizzy is faulty, will that cause the problems im having?
i know it was working cause ive had it running in previous motor fine.

Might go back to points and see what happens. do i need a ballist resistor? if so, will any one work?

And how does it connect? i know the wire from dizzy goes to the - on the coil, thats it
