i just use vice grips, so much easier and no chance of stripping out the inside of the bolt. Just make sure it is nice and tight

Thanks for the tips guys. I spose if they are this easy to do I should do them and replace the CV boot/grease at the same time. Then if there are still leaks, I can only assume it is the main gearbox seal

Would it be possible to make a bracket that is not welded to the bumper so it sat between the bumper mount and the mounting point on the chassis? I'd rather not weld on to the bumper if possible. I think you'll get what I mean.

I want to do the exact same mate.

When I get my car back I'll work it out and make 2, how's that sound?

Like a plan. I'd say there are a few out there in the same boat. Gives Alex a break from the welder as well!

yeah it will be very easy to make a bracket that will bolt in but the bitch will be trying to line it all up to bolt up the bumper. It an be fiddly enough with just the bumper with everything in the way

Did a bit of filming this afternoon. Tough life, but someone has to do it.
