So I have been doing some varied driving and checked fuel economy. It has come back at an amazing 8.6/100km. I was expecting more like 11 or 12!

The MFD returns economy of 30.2/100 so I'd say that's not accurate.

The car has not any interior lighting so my current plan is to do footwell lighting in the front so there is some help in seeing in there at night.

The driving lights are not wired up so the idea is just tohave them switchable at the dash not via the headlight switch.

It turns out the hazard lights switch is jammed hard against the dash between the steering column. I stalled on parra rd yesterday and had no chance of getting it to come on. My luck was being able to roll out of traffic on to a side St.

Euro plates are on the way. Just waiting for them to be reissued.

The white rims do suit the car, however I have experienced a bit of boy racer geeing up at the lights.

I also wanted to have the option of 14" for some times when a slightly less harsh ride is called for.

    Thanks to Pedro for these.

If anyone wants to buy the white wheels I spose I would consider it for the right price. Lenso 6.5" ET40 15"

Looks like all the other Mk1s now.

I reckon the white wheels were untold better.

As to the comments from QLD, I`m not pointing any fingers, but I know how the car was when it left me and how it was when it returned. That is all.

I like the steelies more than the white wheels actually. Looks cleaner. It might just be the fact that the steelies have dish but i really think, in my opinion, that they suit it better.

hmm.. I wasn't a huge fan of the white wheels, but they did suit the car. The steelies dont really match the 'look' imo. a mk 1 is a bit of a boy racer car afterall!

ultimately, it's up to you, but I'd keep my eye out for a set of nice 15's.

I suppose the most important thing with the wheels is are you losing any width or grip?

I liked the wheels and with flared arches and a front lip like that, as well as the remaining styling of the car you're still going to get the fully sik hektic bro racer rice bois coming at you anyway.

    Cheers,
    Trent

Yes, I suspect these wheels will be a stop-gap.
