    mhmmm. exactly what matt says. you have a 16v hey... that could mean 16 bent valves.

    get someone proper to install it/tinker with it.

    Thanks for the advice guys. I'll get the exhaust done and then look at this after that. I'd like to see what the headers bring to the party...

    Pulled out an old project with a bit of motivation to finish these for daily duties.

    I've read on the Vortex that the hardware (clamps/bands?) loosen themselves and slowly fall apart.
    They look nice.
