Yeah it is nice to have it running as it should - some might say it's sorted, I like to think it is 'going ok at the moment'!
Here is a quick mock up of how the EURO plates will look next week...

Things are great Dylan, I am surprised by the 308, but it is no VW that is for sure. It's a more smooth and quiet car compared to the 103 TDI MKV. Hope your little family is well.
Ah thats music to my ears mate, great to here it has been sorted, it did need a lot of TLC. Have fun. And yes it did make me feel a bit better reading the thread!!
Cheers

Added a few bits and bobs.
Replaced front bumper with a not so broken one and added the plates back that were originally on the car.. Took me a on and off a day to get it from this;

I'll get in touch Alex, I want to get the flares blacked and well as I am going to be driving it more now the MKV is going - I should be able to tee up a time to see you during the week. Also need to take the grinder to the guards some more, I am unable to go lower at the moment.
As for the dyno...
By the time I left I was the only NA car on the rollers and well below the other cars, being the only sub 100KW car!
Here is the plot for those that are interested. I am keen to analyse it and work out a few things that can be improved - teach myself about AFR's and the like.

Looking sweet, loving this ride, seriously need a gtg, haven't caught with many a folk yet and need to.
Keep up the goods
Mik PM'd about this one, but thought we might aswell cover it in the thread for interest's sake.
Not sure on the proper spec of the engine management (Digi II, chip specs etc?), but I'm going to flag ignition timing straight up after looking at the plots and how the power tails off so low in the rev range (for a 16v anyway).
Here is a healthy CIS KR in a friend's Mk2 making peak power at around 6-6.3k RPM (about right). The first plot is bone stock, the second has the WUR mod to get some more fuel in and a decent exhaust aswell.
In other words, you're roughly 10-15kW at the wheels down on what you should be and it's all in the top of the RPM scale. Your current map hits a wall at around 5000RPM, when it should be the opposite. It looks more like a 2.0 8v with a decent cam in terms of the delivery.
What's the story with management, and then I can help more
P.S. bear in mind, it's not much to do with the figures here at the end of the day (SO many variables); I'm more concerned about the nature of the power band.

Also, just on a side note, the warm-up reg mod gets a KR similar to an ABF in terms of power output (and delivery too, actually). You can get good results with cramming some fuel in and hardening up the timing with CIS at least. Right now, you're probably in the opposite position!
Edit: forgot to mention, but one of the first reasons I flagged ignition timing is because this is a big difference between the 8v and 16v factory maps, because the peak volumetric efficiency (or the most efficient point in the engine's rev range really) is very different, as the nature of the two engines is almost completely opposite. If you put 8v systems in a 16v car, the first point to correct is the ignition map.
The other issue is that many of the US-made chips for these conversions play on the very safe side with the timing for obvious reasons. To set up the system properly, would 9-times out 10, mean cranking up the timing mainly in the higher RPM range where the peak VE of the 16v is, and also where you can really get some timing and fuel in to make use of this.
I tried a US-spec MK3 Motronic (ABA crossflow 8v) system on my 16vT for an experiment really (the systems interchange with an ABF, which uses the same dissy style etc - handy thing, which I don't think anyone else has tried), and even with a custom SNS chip, the timing issue was still there, simply because they were being cautious.
Why is the CIS gone anyway? TBH, I don't much like any systems in-between the CIS and Digi 3 because there aren't enough people with brains to bench tune them properly. I'm probably biased, but the Digi 3 in an ABF is programmable by so many tuners in Europe. I ditched even a nice Autronic SMC in favour my Digi 3.2, which is now almost fully tunable thanks to some smart boffin in Holland... plus it maintains factory diagnostics, which is no end of help!
