hey guys,
mikey and I put in a hard day... well half day today. and boy are things coming along. mojor bodywork complete, hoping to go top coat tomorrow.

we had to reorganise mike driveway first.....


then it was time for a few "one of those moments" shots...



mike found something interesting in the rear drivers side wheel arch apparently.... or was it just to show you how high this beast really is....


doors and hatch off, windows all out, loom out, and whatever else was deemed "unnecessary"


i decided to do some real work, "arrgh ooogh arrgh I'm a MAN!"

finally it seemed like we'd done some work...


then we did some more...


and at last, this seemed to sum it all up -

Nice to this car coming back to life. Enthusiastically too!

I don't feel so bad now about my house having mk1's everywhere now. You made my day.

The widened mk3's are not a bad looking with a bit of dish too! Thumbs up.

Also spotted another set of 15 x 6 Ronal R8's. Don't see them too often. Still a nice looking rim IMHO,

where? do you mean the ones on the passat? i'm not sure of the make of those... but they are 14x6 and have audi stamps...

i reckon i have the highest mk1 in australia right now.. with the high springs and no engine/interior/windows.. its like its on stilts..
