a trunk release kit, the type with a wire i had to cut a section out of the rear of the lid as there is no access to mount the solenoid.i ran the wire up to join with the demister cable and through to the front of the car and the switch well thats a secret for now.i had to extend the cam on the lock mechanism 15 odd mm to able the solenoid more leverage, works a treat.will be full delocked soon.my mk2 is fully delocked no troubles there, you can pop the bonnet from outside the car anyway ehh

you can actually reach the bonnet release from out side.put central locking on yesterday and hooked up the boot release to the second channel, nice feels like the 20th century again. also cut a great big section out of the firewall as there was a rust hole hiding behind the sound deadening will plate it up today, that sound deadening **** is bad. got a set of wheels ohh keep them under wraps so nice and the pile of goodies is growing will get some pics up soon. the chrome count is growing i am adicted love the shine

    Swallowtail

Keep up the good work,we will have to out try to outnumber our Aircooled brothers (I should say Grandfathers as I feel they are a little antiquated on the road )

    Air v Water

Crankcases don't last too long and are hard to come by but how many of us have thrown out Golf Passat etc blocks as no one wants them as they don't stuff up.Bulletproof vs Soft.
Air makes nice vintage cars for a light cruise not a good thrashing like water ones.
