Calling out to Jarred - I want more info on the items you used to pseudo-raise your strut towers! I didn't know you had them 'til you pointed it out - it's so obvious too
I recall you saying they were off-the-shelf items too. Any links/more info?

Pete's got it in one!
It's basically a bolt on solution to cutting and welding in factory strut tops, or extending the factory strut tops.
The bloke that makes them is on vortex as WCHLVR. He makes some great products and is super friendly and super helpful! He's got great customer service!
There is a different version which uses a modified mk 4 bearing up top, but the end effect is the same.
Not sure they'd (or similar items) would suit later golfs, as they have much higher strut towers already. (ie closer to the bonnet)
Yea I guess so. I cant remember looking at the towers specifically on a mk 3. If you clearanced the bonnet, i'm sure you could get at least 1" extra, if not more.
The blokes running 2" kits on mk 1's have to chop out a section of bonnet. I just had to give mine a bit of love with my engineering tool.
