Hey all,
Quick question, does anyone know a good method or substance for removing the old sound deadener/protective coatings on firewall, spare wheel well, etc?
Or is it just a matter of continuing with the old screw driver and determination?
Any method appreciated,
Cheers

as above dry ice or heat gun.
Ive used the heat gun with great success. You heat it up very hot then let it cool a bit and it just peels off in one piece.
or if mechanical means is all you can do, a 5" grinder with a stainless twist knot wheel (cup brush) is also good - takes offthe paint and rust aswell.

Cheers guys! Have been using the disc on most stuff, but the black tar-like seems to clog the disc, so will have a razz with the heat gun.
Cheers and merry Christmas
Heat gun and a scraper works fairly well, just not to much heat or the stuff melts and gets really messy.
I've done it on two cars, the one with rusty floors took a lot longer than the one with good floors.
