Oright, so my mate f*ked up and is closing his panel shop where my car is at the moment, I have to get the car and all my tools out by Friday. So tomorrow, hopefully with the help of Stu, im going to fix the linkages, bleed the brakes and maby fix the carbie so that i can put it on a truck and take it to get the exhaust fitted on Wednesday morning then ill have to take it home....where i dont have a usable garage....and try and finish it off there.

As for the exhaust, the extractors need to be moddfied so that they dont touch the steering rack boot and i think the flange one them are a 1/4" bigger then standard so i might have to get the rest of the system matched. I work right next door to the guy, he usaly does hot rods and classics so his work should be tip top.

In the little time i had today i finished off the voltage, amp switch panel thing. Didnt come up too bad, i thought i would have stuffed it up for sure when it came to drilling a cutting but its oright. As i also re-skined the guage cluster with a similar to stock looking vynal i also did the panel so it wouldnt stand out to much.

Thats unfortunate about your mates work shop. Looks like its race against the clock now.

I like the voltage meter dude lol looks pretty cool, you could fool someone silly and tell them its a 'turbo timer' ahahahha

Big ups to Stu for all the help today, we got the brakes bled and fiddled with the gear linkages and worked out there is not way around it without replacing the selector lever with the proper longer one. I have to either find someone whos parting out a 5speed cabrio or try and cut and weld the 4speed one to suit. Thanks Jarrad for the pic btw.

I didnt have enough time to organise a tow truck so itll have to wait till tomorrow.

    Hit another speed bump.
I went to the shop today after work to pack everything up, put the car on the ground and get it ready to be towed.
As if it wasnt hard enough to put a car down that usaly sits a couple of centemeters off the ground, as soon as I did the control arm ball joint fell off the hub because I used the wrong size bolt to hold it in place.

I dont think im going to be able to get the exhaust done tomorrow
