Nahhhhh, just joking. You should be able to fix anything on a MK1 with chewing gum, bailing wire, 100mph tape and a swiss army knife.

    20W50 is what you want.

Make sure the oil to water cooler is not leaking internally. I am not sure how often Frank has run this car but the cooler ended up leaking some time ago ( water in the oil etc) From memory Frank changed the cooler and flushed the engine oilways and cooling system.

As long as the basics are right you will get home fine.

Engine pic of car.. Taken in Dec 2007

    Lots of MK 1 Scirocco's...

If it aint a MK 1 then it must be a donor car ??

    Cheers,
    Grant...

It'll be fine without it, mate.

I'd go for a Mocal oil cooler kit if you feel you need one. PM me if you're interested.

Stick with what's in it now, mate. That's the easiest thing to do.

I agree with sticking to the origional if you can, I am running the same engine in my mk1 but I have two 45 webers so I am using a Pug206 radiator, it's a little thinner so it gives the carbs more room to breathe.
