I decided it was time for a colour change Had the paintshop mix up some enamel for the inlet manifold, which I sprayed then baked under a circle of lamps (worked surprisingly well!!). The colour is the same as the actual car, so fits in nicely, I think.

I've put in the rest of the carpet too. It has a triple layer of sound mat on the front footwells now, which is very heavy, but the car's not all about performance for me. I also laid it underneath the entire false floor.

Still have to fit the guages and properly mount the carbon on the passenger side. Very happy with the interior, though - a nice place to be!!

Got some chrome dice valve caps too:

Next job is colourcoding the sides of the wheel spokes, now I have some enamel to use. I think that will finish off the exterior a bit more.

I love the inlet manifold Stu! A very tasteful improvement....if there was any more room for improvement The blue accentuates the silver on the engine cover really well A great job on the interior too.....I'm a fan of the exposed shifter box and cables Don't worry about an increase in weight from the sound mat! Worth the sacrifice compared with putting up with a load exhaust system

If only I could find some time to help Golfwise finish off the silver car, then I could join you for a cruise!

Thanks I went up to Ed's with the car today, but ended up wasting time talking rubbish and I had to go to work before he got to drive it!!! The 20v is looking great with all the polished bits You'll have to get cracking over the September break so we can go for a good drive. I'm about to head out again tonight after the traffic and cop cars disappear!

P.S. I think the exposed cables look better too - bit of a racecar feel!
