    should i get adaptors to run these haha

    put some matt black mk5 wheels in front of my mk1 ,

    No adaptors needed, they'll fit right over your 13s

    IMHO. No!

    It's a mk1, not a monster truck!

    The only mk1 which 17" rim's suit are the cabby's with & without the clipper kit, due to their larger, thicker & lower sill panel, which makes it all look proportional.

    That's just my two bob though.

    maybe try the polo versions...16's? i personally like these wheels and with the right car would look great!
