    Running Temp

    Hi guys i just got my car back on the rd but it seems to be running hot.
    i have the gti consol and gages installed and it reads just under 100..
    is this right? its been so long since its been on the rd i cant remember what temp it use to run at.
    any help would be great thanks

    I'm sure someone will correct me but but i do believe the fan turns on at 95, so i'd assume 100 is fine, but would be safer if the fan were too turn on a bit earlier to avoid it reaching 100.

    Stock thermostat is 87°, that's the temp your motor should run at.

    Stock fan switch comes on around 90° - 95 °

    I put a new thermo in when I rebuilt it. could it be the wrong one and causing it to run so hot?
