    Removing C.v Joint Help!!

i recently had a little "mishap" with a medien strip and buckled a rim and tore the rubber boot on a outer cv. i got a new boot and i've been trying to remove the c.v with no luck, i know you got to spread the c clip but it just springs back into place.....and i cant hammer the cv of the shaft whilst holding the c clip. what are your methods of doing this job? any tips???

its starting to really annoy me!

You are using circlip pliers right?? shouldnt have any problems at all if you are.
Good luck. Spread the clip and very gently tap the joint, easy as.

Now that you have a real answer, I feel I can post this:

The joint is not tight on the shaft at all. Once you get the clip out of the groove the joint will easily pull off the shaft with your hands. Its just getting the clip out of the groove and away you go. One thing, dont lose your patience, just tinker, open the c clip as far as it will go and persevere.
