    Rally Golf - First Run

After 3 and a bit years, the Rally Golf saw the outside world for the first time this weekend. Saturday morning it was a run down to Jax for a wheel align then on to Peter at CVWC for some hoist time. All considered (after all this is my work we are looking at here) there were very few things that needed much attention. Peter spent some quality time with the webbers and a timing light, then off for a test drive.

Saturday arvo was mainly a cut & polish session with the bonnet and front guards, and a slight issue with the alternator - where the hell did the blue wire from the charge light go???

Anyway, by nightfall I felt the we were ready for our first competitive outing at the MG Car Club Motorkhana.

    So Sunday...

It ran pretty well faultlessly, some dyno time will help trim the webbers and I still don't know about the battery charging stuff. I started to get the feel of the handbrake/power balance towards the end of the day - and there are nuts, screws and all sorts of rattly bits that need to be removed from the cabin before the next run . Video to follow....
