    Great to see you back. When / where do we get to see you in action?

    Cheers

    A quick update then;
    The webers have been a total PITA! They have been leaking fuel over the hot exhaust and God only knows why the whole thing hasn't burst into flames. At last check, Grant thinks he has found the problem and is close to a solution - I will know more next week, so fingers crossed.
    I cannot thank Grant and Michael enough for their willingness to get to the bottom of this, Dyno Tune Mitchell will be getting some Golfy advertising space for sure.
    Once it is back, the next stop will be back to Canberra VW Centre for a gearbox swap. For the past two years I have had a close-ratio 020 with brand new KAAZ plate LSD just sitting wrapped in a blanket in the shed. This cannot be allowed continue!
    I have ordered a clutch kit from GAP in the USA so hopefully the timing will work out about right.

    Add to all this getting my CAMS licence back and the next few weeks are looking pretty busy.
    Still no date for a public outing but there are a couple of "test" days next month that I would love to get to....

    Just had a call from Grant.... NO MORE FUEL LEAKS!!!!!!
    I can't express how grateful I am to Grant and Michael for persevering with the Webers and taking the amount of trouble they haveto make sure it's right.
    Pick it up tomorrow, then off to Pete's for the gearbox swap....(of course I will have to wait for the new clutch to arrive from GAP first)

    Just an update...
    Been doing touch-up jobs (see the MK1 replace/fix thread) thinking I had another week 'till a testing day in Canberra's forests..... WRONG!!! it's this weekend not next weekend - PANIC!
    Ever patient (and much-smarter-than-husband) wife Kelly had the following advice - "Stop taking things apart then!"
    Still need to complete and fit intercom but maybe I should just put the other jobs on hold for a while
    Of course there's still time for a wheel align tomorrow afternoon (Thank you Canberra Steering and Suspension)
