    Problem with buying a MK1

I’m picking up a MK1 this weekend that needs some work but should be back on the road in a few weeks. Once it’s running I can sell my MK2.

I bought the MK2 last year and didn’t tell my wife until I brought it home. She hit the roof she was so furious, so much yelling and screaming. I didn’t get fed for 2 weeks and even now she is still p***ed off that I bought it without consulting her.

So how do I tell her I’m buying a MK1?

    I’ve got 3 days.

    Cheers

    Paul

Hahahahahaha Paul mate tell her it was donated makes it a lot easyer, as we all know most relationships buckle because of money issues.
And if it's a storage problem your on your own there can't help.

Don't do that Paul, best thing to do is be honest with her buddy, she should understand as its your passion. At least your passions not at at the pub every night sinking a few.......... Or is it?

Have you sold anything so this is only a replacement?

    haha, paul. I'm with you
I bought all my Mk1, Mk2 and old BMWs without letting her know until she saw it in driveway.

Include a diamond ring in the boot could be a solution.

Yeah bud. Ill second the 'be honest' suggestion. If you survived it with the mk2, this shouldn't be so bad if it's a replacement, not an addition

Last time (when I got the MK2) I bought the wife a Passat.

    This could become expensive.

Think out of the square - perhaps get a new wife?
