Would the guard roller still not fit at stock height?
Congrats n ****.
IIRC they're the same blocks? Hence same wieght?
Regardless, lower stress brace defiantly worth while (even if it's not a race car, it's a cheap mod, and very worth while for positive handling!) But you already knew that.
Good stuff doing all that, bit of a saga, but then, it wouldn't be a mk 1 without it, now would it!
Cheers, Jace. Haven't tried the guard roller yet, mate. Here's hoping! haha.
Heavier gearbox, injector pump, pistons and flywheel.. Plus all the big heavy brackets.. It all adds up.
Yeah I might look into a lower stress bar. Suggestions? I haven't seen them for sale by any particular manufacturer..

I got mine off Tim at dubaddiction.
I'm sure you'd able to fab one up pretty easy though. Couple bits of right angle and some thick wall pipe.
There was a bloke on tassie who did a bit of a write up on how to make one in his thread. His user name escapes me, as he's not on very often. He's also done the magna/commodoore brake upgrade.
looking good chris, well done with it all so far!
