alot of plans are getting thrown around, my main one was to raise all the strut towers, engine mounts and steering components and rock it old skool, mint standard 13's (non widened) with 175/50 tyres with whitewalls, bench seat up front, mesh sunvisor, old skool roofrack and crazy retro 70's side decals and the best part about it, leave it an original car, no body mods, no respray's, nothing (and NO thats not called RAT)..... except maybee a 80k new 2E on twin 40's contributed by sean (golf3)........ i have 75% of the stuff just dont have roofracks, tyres and no fab work has been done yet, id like to have it on the sill panels at DOVW '09 though, plans are from now to get my fabrication team together to workout what direction were gonna take with it over the weekend and talk about who's hose itll be at for the fabrication work, then hopefully, more progress will arise from that , id like to have a 2" strut tower raise, also engine mounts would be raised about 2" and steering rack about the same height, i have a pretty talented machinist and fabricator keen to jump onboard and im sure he'll pop his head on this thread as hes part of VWW of melbourne

    cheers

Looks great Dom, from what someone else was saying in the ebay section I thought it was supposed to be overpriced and very rough!! I like it.
I have found a set of overiders and a windshield if you are interested...
Who knows what else I can find around this place!!
Good find and glad you got this gem!

haha yeah man, im definetly interested in the overriders! Also some people also accused this car of having heaps of coats of paint, when that is not the case, most of the car was chalky and needed a good polish, its not exactly white but a creamy white with a bit of a yellow tinge, ive polished 1/3rd of it and it seems one color, yes the fronts been repainted and theres abit of bog, but jeez! Its a 33year old car!!!
