    Petrol>diesel Swap

Just wanting some feedback on this.

Picked up a Diesel 4 door with a good engine, The car is unregistered though.
I have my Green petrol golf (which was diesel ) which is registered but not going atm, half way through a 1.8L swap.

Just contemplating swapping it back to diesel for my daily run about and swapping the new diesel i got to petrol as a slow project.

Not sure if i will or not, but i guess the option is there.

Any comments welcome, good or bad

    Edit

Decided to go ahead with the swap, why the hell not
2 people, 2 jacks, 2 hours and a handfull of tools and i had this

Have drained the tank of petrol, wiring is all out.
Hopefully picking up the diesel gear next week.

    do it.

wiring a diesel is meant to be pretty simple.

you'll have no power, but it'll cost you bugger all to run, and you'll get to soot people.

    LMAO!!!

Well ill have a whole running diesel to transfer parts... its just the body on the green one is average, as in previous owner flared out guards, where as the red one is still stock. so seems more sence to petrol that and turn into a project.

Only challenge I see here is the fuel lines, you won't get diesel through the smaller petrol lines.

Best if you swap out the tank and fuel lines too.
