Howdy NSW MKI'ers..........Just letting ppl on here know for those that don't venture from this section of the board that theres a track day this coming sunday at Oran park. It'll be one of the last track days there and should be a good mix of JDM and Euro cars.

Last I heard, a week ago there were about 10spots left but they generally fill up quite quickly as it gets closer to the date.

Would be nice to see some MKI's out there like at the VWnat day we had earlier this year. It's closer to home so less of a hassel to get to.

From the sounds of it theres a few new VW"s going.

I'd be keen but I have 2 concerns (aside from getting a leave pass from the little lady and the fact I have not been on a track for a long time;

The car is still waiting to get a Blue slip and take the car for a decent drive - hoping to have it registered this week

and

I don't have a tow hook as it is a 76 model so I would be needing to work something out for scruiteneering.

What format is the track day? Timed laps, super sprints?? I'd hate to have a bender with another car on the first outing!

My Dad and I are thinking of bringing up my Mk3 to have a run at Oran Park b4 its gets shut down.

no tow hook at the front? weired mine does................they would just strap something else to pull you out.......

do go hard until you know the tack...........but as you haven't driven the car much I wouldn't recommend tracking it just yet.
