So I am just waiting on eecieving my 2door.

I am going to seing by a mates workshop and ask a few questions about hydraulic clutch for my build, and also about the engine mounts.

If there is anyone out there with a decent set of chrome bumpers for a good price, please send me a PM.

    Until next time.

I have an appointment with a engineer on tuesday at 16:00. The guys my dad and I buy our steel from can supply me with what I need once I have the 2door at my place.(both tubing and sheeting)

Now I just need to try and get rid of some of the 4door parts I still have left and the body of the 4door. Then I can get the 2door on my stands and start with installing the engine and then line the rear diff up to make sure it is in the middle and start with fabrication on the rear.

    To be continued...

I will need a panelbeater to modify the front and rear to get it through engineering. And I am actually not allowed to change the track width by the amount it is needed. Everything else ticks the boxes with engineering.

So plan B is to grab a 5speed gearbox from Gareth with the linkages and all that, and just do a normal 1.8T conversion.

So far I have the motor, I have a gearbox which is a good start, now just need to get a different gearbox mount for the 5speed(if needed, will check if the one I have might work) and then slowly start cleaning the engine bay up and getting the body as straight as possible and slowly start collecting parts and things I want to get the car on the road.

But my first work will be to buy a left chassis arm with engine mount to replace the crumpled up one and also a left floor panel which has the worst rust and then move forward from that.
