That should make life a bit easier. Are you going to the Nationals next weekend?

Quick question guys. Do you reckon I can cut the S3 tunnel out which houses the propshaft and exhaust and put that in the golf?? And do the same thing by fitting the propshaft and the put the cover under that and run the exhaust like the S3 underneath that??

The tunnel is a major structural piece of the body. Best to ask your engineer what he prefers.
So this is what me and a mate were up to for about 3-4hrs:

Thanks to my mate Sean who came around to my place and helped me out with a bit of work getting some of the things af the S3 which I need. Hopefully maybe by next sunday I should have everything out which I'll need. And then just gotta get a trailer again and get the Golf home and chip away at the project.
Will go and have a chat to my engineer and find out if I can fit the S3 tunnel in the Golf because of its design keeping the propshaft and exhaust in the same tunnel and also possibly preventing alot of fabrication work.

And then also a question for those who have done a lot of fabrication themselfs, what type of welding would you recommend for all the body, engine bay etc.
Correct me if I am wrong but from what I have researched I think mig welding would be my best option to help prevent stuffing things up.
