Sportsracer has the important part of the motor which is a complete gasket set which went with the motor...

Yeah she did get a bit of fire but you should see what it looks like now... I can see all around the engine now and I can now figure out what loosen up to get the motor out by itself etc... That came with the cost of the missus getting sunburnt to help out...

I think I've figured a way to get the motor home (my tow car still has a dud gbox). If I take the gbox off I can fit it into the back of the Golf. Then if I take the head off it will make the motor light enough to get into the Golf too.

A forum with really good information though is Audi Sport. Pretty much everything you would want to know about 8L S3s in there.
