It should be salvageable... And like I said, there is no rush with this thing. So the motor will eventually be pulled apart and the head and block will be pressure tested to make sure there is no serious damage...

I spent about three hours yeaterday and it looks like I have done nothing...

Just put that motor next to mine so when I come to pick it up I know which one to get.

If your motor stays long enough there is someone who wants to buy a 16V and turbo it...

And also found out, the 1.8T is an APY CODE ENGINE.

So the stats are: 210PS(154kW;207bhp @5800rpm) and 270NM(199lb/ft@2100rpm)

Pretty happy with that...

Love the power numbers to... And I will try and push for a bit more power out of the motor once I rebuild it.

And sportsracer, come pick up the engine before wednesday and you get a set of headbolts, ABSOLUTELY FREE!!!!!
