Oil coolers

Has anyone ever had their oil cooler block up. When my engine is red hot the oil cooler is not even warm. This should be piping hot correct????. The engine temperature is flashing high temperature and fan is kicking in to cool the radiator down. Do the oil coolers tend to block up easily and if so anyone recommend a way to unblock it. or experience a problem with them??

replace it mate, bout $74 from german auto parts... or likely less if you search for it.

You should possibly look at replacing the hoses also ( all of em) unless you are positive of there current age.

Check for complese kits.
