    New MK1 project

I just picked up an 81 rabbit pickup.

Good news is I got it for a great price, bad news is I have rust that has to be taken care of. More than likely a graft from a donor car.

Has anybody seen or gotten creative with boxing the front end to add strength, not just the flat section like you see on many MK1's but more like rebuilding the inner wheel wells custom?

Will post pics as soon as I can get someone to help me roll it out and back into the shed.

man time has gone by! The plan to move back down under is getting closer Question is been it has rust and needs to be converted to RH drive if it comes with me do I cut the front end off and find a donor car down under or take care of what I can in the sates and bring it a complete as possible?

Being that there are only a hand few of caddies down here, my answer is a definite YES!!!

Plus side, one of those down here is really a one off car.
    Mine: -MK5 Golf 2.0TDI[Deiselgeek sigma 6 shifter + H&R 50mm lowering springs + GTI Tartan interior + Audi 18x8 A6 wheels(Dark Steel)]
    -MK1 Golf The re-spray/re-build
In the family: -MK5 Jetta 2.0TDI, -9N3 Polo TDI, -6R Polo TDI, -Mitsubishi S^$&box van
A pattern seems to be forming...
