    New Mk1 on the block!

    Hey guys,

I'm am new to the vwwatercooled forum.
I own a Mk1 76 golf 2 door. Purchased as a stock cult classic with Mk3 Steelies over four years ago. I always had the intention of swapping out the buggered motor (blown head gasket). An Audi 1.9 later, after a long self installation process, it pulls a lot harder than it used to. I have also replaced many parts on my car as it reaches the 30 year old mark.

I soon upgraded the rubish solex carby with a new dual throat weber 32/36 DGAV (water choke), and more recently added the Gti grille. A Zender roof spoiler and white 5 spoke rims are on the top of my to-do list.
I'm starting to think my golf needs to be lowered and wouldn't mind an exhaust system either!

I'll be sure to keep a look out for some of you guys on the road!

    Cheers

    Now on to the pics

Howdy, welcome, very nice clean mk1 you've got there, and yeah another vote for slamming here....

What colour is it? It looks orange to me, El foolio, isn't yours red?

I'd say Citrus red is somewhere between orange and red.
    That is one top mk1.
