Some seriously good work happening here. Well done but I do hope that's not your feet in the pink shoes.
Cheers

Looks so good mate! What did you use to make the demister vents?

You've missed your calling. You should be doing upholstery work for a living.

Vents are made from Black perspex, laser cut to fit (including the holes for the screws) then sanded on top with 3000 grit paper along them(1 direction only) to make them look somewhere between matte and brushed. Finally just countersunk the screws into the face to make it level.
HAHA, I think I am too particular for that, would never make any money with the amount of time I spend on the tiny details.
Heres this weekends progress(it's happening quicker as i can see the light at the end now).
Cleaned the boot and the spare(will give it a coat of paint when the time comes+new tyre)
Wet sanded the hatch and tried some new polishing paste i bought(you can see the rflection of the tree on the tiny patch I tried
Also wet sanded the roof and the front window surround + the rear arches/quarters. (Love those reflections[not yet polished])
Finally installed the hatch to see how she is looking, fits well, going to get dad to help me align it when he is back from Melbourne.
Will try and hang the doors this week or next weekend. can't do the front guards as I'm still waiting on parts from Germany(damn long weekend).

Progress update time.
Parts came from Germany
Doors are hung
Repainted the hatch, as I had rubbed through 1 tiny section:
Whole car was wet sanded with a 2000 grit paper.
Then I polished up the car over 2 weekends, she came up a treat.
This one really shows the difference from sanding to polishing.
I also managed to melt my badges while trying to clean them up... oops, but ended up saving them and sanding the letters down flat but leaving the rest in its melts state, it look rough, but I think it may suit the car, if not Ill sort some new badges.

Amazing work mate! Your polishing skills seem to be pretty damn good haha. Over all coming together very nicely
- Orange Golf mk1 LS, 1.8 5speed, 32/36 - sold
- Golf mk1 Swallowtail rebuild, completely stripped
- Brown U.S import 81 cabby
- 88 Honda crx b18cr
So progress has been slow but constant recently. A little un-photo worthy. Got the timing belt sorted as no history meant the age and km's were unknown. Threw a cabby booster on it and cabby brakes. Upgraded pads and rotors to suit.
Also ordered some braided lines to help the pedal feel nicer.
Also had the front and rear windows installed.
Mum was more excited than me about this, as I no longer have an excuse to store the interior inside the house.
